He is the inheritor of the the farm (Lusebrink) and marries a Catherina, surname not known because the church register gives no inforration on it. The wedding day is not to be determined. The Churchbook of Horn liats only this in the time from 1600 to 1656. In this time only some notes are done.

He is the inheritor of the Farmyard (Lusebrink) and marries on 16.2.1733 Anna Margaretha Silberg of Wasten. Perhaps it should be Warstein heigen for Silberg's have lived for four years in Schmerlecke. Wedding at Horn on 16.2.1733. Kinder: 1. Anna Margareth Elizabeth 20.3.1736. Godparents: Catharina Elisabeth Schulte, Jose Wilheim Hens. 2. Joes Petrus 21.7.1737 Godparent: Joes Christopherus Henespelman, Anna Gertrud Gosedop 3. Franziskus Henricus: 14.7.1741 . Godparents: Franziskus Arnoldus Tyman,Henricus Buckso, Eva Anna Beckers aus Schmerlecke. He became the inheritor of the Farmyard (Lusebrink) and marries Eva Christina Duesberg at Horn on November 19, 1765.. 4. Note on Theodor's godparent Engelbert Balz: The "barnhouse" built by Engelbert Balz and Catherine Elizabeth Kaltenhofer still stands in the village of Schmerlecke facing the Siedhoff house and distillery. The text on the "Greatdoor" is July 10, 1810. It is a very typical "Bauernhaus" or "Einhaus" which housed and protected the family, the animals, and the store of grain under one roof. Kinder; 1. Maria Christine Bernardine 14.11.1853 - 13.11.1898 Godparents: Anna maria Kaltenhofer, Anton Ahnhorst-Rietberg, Bernaardine Ahnhorst. She was united in marriage to Rickert of Schmerlecke. 2. Franz Ferdinand Joseph aka Joseph 29.6.1855 - 3.5.1930 Godparents: Ferdinand Ahnhorst, Franziska (Bals) Duesberg, Joseph Balz. 3. Peter Ferdinand Heinrich 7.10.1856 Godparents: Ferdinand Ahnhorst,aus Bexel, Freericka Sultroop aka Fenne aus Merklinghausen. He went to America. 4. Anna Josephine 18.4.1858 - 11.12.1863. Godparents: Anna WeiBororock aka Lohagener aus Seringhausen, Heinrich Bals, Josephine Spatling aus Bokum. 5. Heinrich Anton 21.12.1859 Godparents: Kaplan Heinrich Ahnhorst in Neuenkirchen, Anton Spatling aus Bokum. Maria (Bals) Hense-Schmerlecke. He went to America. 6. Franz 6.12.1861 Godparents: Franz Bals, Franz Ahnhorst, Anna Maria Ahnhorst aus Mastholte. He became a clergyman and died as a minister to Elsen. 7. Anton Theodor 5.3.1864 - 1.7.1934 Godparents: Anton Ahnhorst, Anton Spatling, Henriette Fornhoff aus Schmerlecke. He married Elisabeth Wrede of Schmerlecke on June 23, 1898. This Theodore is the great-grandfather of Bettina Balz: http://www.balz.name. 8. Anna 15.1.1866 Godparents: Theresia Ahnhorst, Franziska Lohagener, Joseph Schulte aus Warnein. She went on November 6, 1889 to the Convent Maria-Hilf Dernbach to receive the veil of the Sisters A.D.M.J. She communicated with Lena Rickert by mail into the 1950's and , in fact, one of her letters saved by my mother provided me with the location of the of the Bals family in 1975. 9. Augusta Gertrud 2.12.1867 - d. 22., 1951 Godparents: Augusta Ahnhorst, Gertrud Reker-Ebbinghausen, Heinrich Overhoff- Drensteinfurt. She ran the household fo her brother, Clergyman Franz Bals. Lena Rickert corresponded with Augusta until her death.
8. 29.6.1855 Franz Ferdinad Joseph Bals 29.6.1855 und Raimunda Siedhoff d. April 4, 1890 He inherited the farm (Lusebrink) ans married Raimunda Siedhoff of Schmerlecke on July 8, 1890. The ceremony was performed by the Vicar Franz Balz of Bochum
Raimunda died on April 4, 1895of lung disease.
The widowr married Theresia Koch-Schulte of Bokenforde in 1897. After the wedding and in the later years of the 1890", he spells his name with an "s" - Bals.
